Endowment Gift
Matthew and Shelly were recently married. Matthew's uncle has cognitive disabilities. For as long as Matthew remembers, Sisters from the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi have tenderly cared for his uncle. Many of those Sisters have since retired and now have intensive health care needs themselves. Out of deep appreciation for the care given their uncle, Matthew and Shelly regularly donate to support Sisters' physical, spiritual, and emotional needs. However, they want to be certain that the Sisters continue to have the funds necessary to receive needed care even after Matthew and Shelly are gone.

Matthew: We appreciate the Sisters' dedication to serving others. We hoped to register our commitment and support by making a gift that would last well into the future.

Shelly: A staff member at the organization asked us to consider making a gift to the endowment. We learned that the endowment was a fund that served as a permanent source of income for the care of the Sisters.

Matthew: I liked that giving to the endowment would help elder Sisters requiring intensive health care continue to receive it year after year.

Shelly: I also felt that the gift would provide a legacy for us. We were both thrilled that our gift would keep on supporting the Sisters who have done so much for Matthew's uncle and thousands of others like him.
